Gardette's vision on logistics: our in-depth expertise
In this article we'll explain the importance of logistics at Gardette. Logistics encompasses planning, organising, carrying out and monitoring activities related to flow of goods, from procurement all the way to product distribution. It plays a key role in customer satisfaction in a number of ways.
Here are a few of them!
- Procurement
- Inventory management
- Preparing orders
- Order tracking
- Fast & reliable delivery
- Returns & after-sales service
- Transport issues & complaints

Procurement
This stage involves identifying what kind of raw materials, equipment, packaging, and other supplies are needed to fulfil customer orders. Gardette is the only manufacturer in the world to have our own cold rolling, drawing and heat treatment plant. This allows us to produce our own raw material, reducing manufacturing lead times.
Efficient inventory management
In addition to our raw materials, we have a stock of over 25,000 finished products. Throughout the year, we use traceability, the FIFO method and rotating inventories to keep track of our stocks and deliver as soon as possible. Our sales and logistics team aims to prepare around 260 order lines per day.
Preparing orders
Our order pickers work meticulously and professionally to guarantee customer satisfaction. Barcode readers are used to ensure delivery as expected. Once the products are all together, we take maximum care when packaging them for extra protection during transport. Depending on the type of product, its size and weight, we use different types of packaging such as cardboard boxes, bags, pallets, wooden crates, etc. After packaging, we label each package, making sure to include essential information such as the content, recipient and delivery address. We also attach the delivery slip.
Tracking your order
At Gardette, we are proud of our expertise in order tracking. Our ADV teams can monitor each stage of the manufacturing of our products in real time, which allows us to ensure effective communication with our customers throughout the process. Thanks to this proactive approach, we can anticipate possible delays and strengthen customer satisfaction by offering them total transparency on the status of their order.
Fast and reliable delivery
We are in a position to offer you a delivery in only 24/48 hours thanks to our large stock and our network of reliable and efficient carriers. After preparing and labelling the packages, it is essential to choose the right carrier for our customers. This depends on various factors such as customer requirements, delivery destination, desired delivery times, as well as package dimensions and weight. That is why we work with:
- DPD for packages under 30kg
- CEVA for courier shipments
- Chronopost for express deliveries of packages under 30kg (next-day delivery before 1:00p.m. or 6:00p.m.)
- TNT and DHL for express deliveries
We can track your package at each stage of shipping.
Returns and after-sales service
Our dedicated returns team will respond to all enquiries within 24 to 48 hours. Our number 1 priority is to offer you an impeccable customer experience and to guarantee your long-term satisfaction.
Transport issues and complaints
Is your package missing, damaged or has it been re-taped? You must make a complaint on the transport slip and make this known to us within 48 hours. Please note that only the following are considered grounds for complaint: damaged pallet; open packages; missing parts. If complaints made are not accurate, significant and complete, we will not be able to process your complaint.
