Manufactured to DIN 471 standards, Gardette circlips a.k.a. retaining rings are inserted into a machined groove on the shaft in order to hold mechanical parts in place while still allowing for easy removal. Also called retaining rings, they are an effective axial fastening solution for mechanical joints, especially in the transmission, automotive and machine tool sectors.
