Finishing is the final stage in the machining process: it gives each part its final shape and optimal surface quality. At Gardette Industries, this stage includes precision milling, a process used to create grooves, countersinks, and complex shapes tailored to your specific needs.

Thanks to these finishing operations, we guarantee strict compliance with dimensional tolerances, improved surface finish, and perfect integration of parts into your mechanical assemblies. This expertise in industrial finishing not only ensures the reliability and performance of your components, but also consistent quality across your entire production.

CNC machining centers

To guarantee consistent quality on every part, Gardette Industries relies on a comprehensive range of finishing machines.

  • We have 13 specialized machines
  • including 6 for traditional milling, operated manually
  • and 7 numerically controlled machines (CNC machining), programmed to ensure perfect repeatability.

Among this equipment, two robotic cells ensure automatic loading and unloading of the machining centers. This automation, specially developed for our production lines, optimizes cycle times and improves productivity. Thanks to this combination of human expertise and advanced technologies, we guarantee finishing parts of exemplary precision, ready to meet the most demanding requirements.

Gardette industries
Our experience

Our traditional milling machines can machine parts ranging from small formats up to 1800 mm, thanks to a fleet of six machines: two dedicated to 1000 mm parts, two for more compact shapes, one for 1800 mm parts, and a final one with a tilting head capable of machining up to 1600 mm with great flexibility.

In terms of CNC machining centers, our seven machines can produce parts up to 2,000 mm, six of which are optimized for 500 mm formats, guaranteeing precision and consistency across all series.

This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to produce both standard parts such as keys and pins, as well as custom parts designed entirely to your specifications.

Gardette industries
Outstanding quality

At Gardette Industries, every stage of production is guided by strict quality standards. From the receipt of raw materials to delivery, we guarantee reliable, high-performance products that meet the highest requirements.

From raw materials to manufactured products: absolute precision

  • Receiving and verifying raw materials: each delivery is carefully analyzed. We examine certificates of authenticity, mechanical properties, dimensions, and tolerances to ensure that only compliant materials enter our process.
  • Monitoring during manufacturing: our experienced operators supervise each stage of production to immediately detect any anomalies and ensure perfect product consistency.
  • 100% final inspection: Before shipment, each part undergoes a complete inspection. Our procedures are aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards, guaranteeing reliability, safety, and performance for our most demanding customers.

Practical applications of finishing

Finishing plays a decisive role in the manufacture of high-precision mechanical parts for sectors where reliability is paramount. This stage guarantees the surface quality, dimensional conformity, and longevity of components used in fields such as automotive, aeronautics, defense, energy, petrochemicals, and mechanical engineering.

At Gardette Industries, automated finishing ensures that parts are ready to use, high-performance, and durable. Their exemplary finish reflects the expertise and quality standards of our teams.

Frequently asked questions about finishing

What is the difference between machining and finishing?‍

Machining encompasses all operations involved in transforming a raw part (turning, drilling, milling, etc.), while finishing focuses on the final finish and precision. It is this stage that ensures the dimensional quality and aesthetic appearance of industrial parts.

Why is finishing essential in precision machining?

Because it guarantees the dimensional conformity and surface quality of parts. Finishing produces components that are ready for assembly without reworking, while optimizing their performance and durability.

What advantages do robotic cells offer in finishing?

Robotic cells automate the loading and unloading of CNC machines. They ensure smooth and consistent production, while optimizing cycle times and guaranteeing consistent quality without compromising on precision.

Heating and surface treatments after finishing

At Gardette Industries, finishing is not limited to mechanical operations: it also includes heating and surface treatments to ensure the durability and aesthetic appearance of parts.

In particular, we carry out annealing in our furnace and, with the help of our trusted partners, can offer other treatments such as hardening, quenching and tempering, zinc coating, burnishing, or painting, depending on specific requirements.

This comprehensive expertise enables us to deliver perfectly finished parts that are suited to every industrial application.
